battery low

today my phone battery was almost empty. i decided to hold the red button on the keypad, thus switching the phone off and conserving batery power.

turning on the computer

I was seated in my computer chair. I reached out my hand and pressed the ‘on’ button. After a moment the computer turned itself on.

Picking up a pen...

I was sitting on a chair in the living room. My pen was lying on the table. I reached out my hand and picked up the pen.

Drumming my fingers on the arm of a chair...

I was sitting down on one of the chairs in my house. My hand was resting on the arm of the chair. I started to drum my fingers on the arm, thereby making a barely audible sound.

adjusting my specs....

I became aware that my spectacles were not sitting quite correctly on my nose. Using my hand I moved them slightly, thereby making them feel more comfortable. This adjustment completed I continued with my activities.

getting out from a car...

After reaching my destination the car stopped. I extended my hand to the location of the car door and pulled the handle, therefore alighting from the car.

sitting on the chair..

i was sitting on the chair in my living room. The chair felt quite comfortable to sit on. I continued to sit there for a while.

tidying some pencils...

Some pencils were scattered around on my desk. I picked them up one by one. I placed the pencils in the drawer which I use to store pencils.

moving an object from one place to another...

There was an object occupying a space on my table. Using my hand I picked up the item from its place. Having considered my options for a moment I placed the object on a different area of the table.

tying my shoelaces

The lace on one of my shoes was undone. I knelt down, took the two ends of the lace in my hand and tied them together. Having tied my lace I stood up again.

viewing the grass

Whilst outside in the open air I noticed an area of grass. I stopped for a moment and looked at the lawn.

Looking at my watch

I was busy doing some things and began to wonder how much time had elapsed. I glanced at my watch and saw the time displayed, thus providing an answer to my question.

Looking at the birds...

i was sitting by the windows when some birds flew and perched on the plants. one by one, i watched them fly off. i figured that i would better be doing something else and looked away.

Opening a cardboard door...

There was a cupboard in the corner of the room. I reached out my hand and gripped the door handle. I pulled the door towards me, thereby opening the cupboard.

Turning off a light...

A light in one of the rooms of my house was on. I decided that I didn’t need the light on any longer. I pressed the light switch thereby turning off the light.

Looking at a wall...

I was standing quite near to a wall. I turned my attention towards it for a few moments. Having done this for several seconds I turned away from it and carried on doing something else.

putting a piece of junk mail into the waste paper basket...

I discovered a piece of junk mail on my door mat. I carried the item away from the front door and held it above the waste paper basket. I opened my hand, thereby allowing the piece of junk mail to fall into the basket.

standing in the middle of the room...

I was standing at a central point in the room. The walls were all at approximately the same distance from me. I continued to stand there for a few moments.

Scratching my knee...

My knee had a slight itch. I reached out my hand and scratched the knee in question. The itch was relieved and I was able to continue with my activities.
